Whether you are planning your mom and dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary, Company Picnic, Baby Shower or Best Friend's Bachelor Party, we have everything you need, to make sure your event is memorable and fun. Below we have provided tips for every type of event imaginable, complete with gift suggestions, party themes, planning tools and more. Our goal is to continuously inspire you with creative solutions to suit your needs, so check back frequently for more updates, ideas and tips.

Anniversary

Consider placing a love advertisement in the newspaper or magazine to which your significant other subscribes. Write a short, romantic message, and if you wish, also include a picture of you two together.

Have a spa day right in your own home. Pour your favorite bubbles in the tub, break out your favorite bubbly (maybe the one you enjoyed on your wedding day), and make a toast.

Clocks, watches or timepieces are sentimental gift ideas for a 1st anniversary. Henry Van Dyke wrote, "For those who love, time is eternity." (If you add that in the card we won't tell.)

Ask kids, grand kids, and great grand kids to write a letter or draw a picture of a special memory they have with the couple.  Create a special memory book by adding all of the letters and pictures.

Going wine tasting, taking a wine tour or making wine, can be memorable ways to spend your anniversary together. Event Static has great wine tasting packages available. Please contact us for more information.

Purchase and frame a share of stock in a major company that has meaning to the both of you for a creative, and possibly profitable, anniversary gift.

Skip an overpriced dinner out and take a cooking class together. Not only is it a fun way to bond, you'll walk away with tons of recipes you can make for other special occasions.

Hold an anniversary treasure hunt for your spouse. Leave cute notes, cards and clues around the house that eventually lead to a romantic location.

Traditionally, your 20th anniversary is celebrated with china and you can use China as your theme. Send out Chinese inspired invites, hang Chinese lanterns, order Chinese food or use a local Chinese restaurant as the venue.

Buy an empty journal (or make one yourself) and write something special, (a moment, a memory or something you love about your spouse), on every page.

Perfume, jewelry and flowers are nice gift giving ideas for your wife on your anniversary. Take her to a movie, show or production she has been wanting to see when you present her the gift.

Go back to where it all started. Eat at the same restaurant you did on your first date, go to the hotel where you first met or to the same mini golf course where you shared your first embrace.

Plan a picnic in the park with paper plates and cups. If you saved any of these items from your wedding reception, use them.

Get a pet and turn your couple hood into a little family. Play mom and dad as you introduce this new dynamic into your relationship, or get practice for baby.

Stuff a piñata or a pretty box with new paper money, confetti, love notes, books on romance, magazines, love coupons, paper flowers, pictures of the two of you, etc.

For a 50th Anniversary, surprise the couple with a special dance.  Play the song they danced to at their wedding reception.  If the couple is up for it, play some music from their era and have them dance with some of their family members.

Go to Las Vegas and renew your vows. Make it a crazy ceremony complete with drive-thru chapel and Elvis impersonator, or keep it simple, at a small intimate chapel. Event Static can provide the perfect vow renewal package for you including transportation, hotel, fine dining and shows to fit your style.

Try creating your own homemade anniversary gift as a personal, unique, and original gift, truly from the heart.

Get tickets to your man's favorite sporting event or concert. Cologne, shirts and gadgets are also great gift giving ideas for your anniversary.

Design or create your own his and hers pillow set, so you can inject some humor and romance into your anniversary.

Platinum is associated with a 20th anniversary gift. Incorporate the color platinum in your invitations, decorations and cake.

If your husband or wife enjoys extreme sports, take them out paragliding, bungee jumping or sky diving. If they prefer something more mellow, go golfing or play tennis.

Do dinner and a movie at home by surprising your spouse with a tray of treats, a couple of movies and the kids gone for the night. Just time alone is sometimes all the gift you want.

Just like anything else in life, it’s all about the priorities. Sometimes splurging for once in a lifetime gifts/experiences, far outweighs the future potential benefits of saving money.

Whatever you do, remember that anniversaries are a reason to celebrate and rekindle those feelings that made you decide to get married in the first place.

  Baby Shower

The goal of a baby shower is for the mother to feel the support of her closest friends and family. Keep the honoree's interests in mind when planning the event. A mom wild about Disney would probably appreciate a Winnie the Pooh theme baby shower, while a sophisticated mother might enjoy a Tea party baby shower.

Get practical and thoughtful baby shower gifts, such as paying for a diaper/food service for the first 3 months so the new mom can relax and enjoy the new baby.

The candy buffet is a great new trend for baby showers. It’s wonderful for everyone since you can offer them a wide variety of candies to choose from. Provide boxes or bags and they can scoop up their favorite candy and take it home as a party favor.

A simple yet functional gift idea is a diaper cake because it is a special gift for the new mommy and it can double as an attractive centerpiece for the occasion. Take a package or two of diapers and tie bows or ribbon around them. Stack them in three tiers and decorate the layers with stickers, candy and other fun items.

Be sure to pick appropriate invitations to mail to your guests. This is their first impression of the feel and theme for the shower. Try making your own invites or get them at a discount store. Event Static can help you design cute invitations that match your theme as well. Please contact us for more information on how we can help you.

Sugar or plastic decorations in baby themes are fairly easy to find. Use frosting to "glue" small plastic baby decorations to the tops of cupcakes, cookies or little Debbie snack cakes. These are several money saving alternatives to expensive bakery cakes.

Many people are electing to hold the shower after the birth of the baby.  This way the appropriate clothing can be given. It also gives Mom an easy way for many people to see the baby at one time. (This eliminates a constant stream of visitors; right after the baby is born, when both Mother and baby need their rest.) Check with the mother-to-be to see when she would prefer a shower before you start planning.

A fun and easy baby shower game that is sure to please is “Baby Price is Right”. Create a card with common baby items. Choose the closest winner on how much common baby items would cost.

Choose a baby shower theme that fits your shower's personality. Just because it’s a baby shower, doesn't’t mean it needs to be baby theme. Try something fun and funky by incorporating different prints or bright colors that are out of the ordinary.

The presentation is often more important than the actual food that is served. Use nice bowls and silver for a formal atmosphere. You can also buy plastic bowls and silverware that look like crystal or that match your décor.

Set up a personalized website for the baby shower so you can post photos, updates, gift registries and more, all in one place for your guests. Event Static can help create your custom website at a very affordable price. Contact us for more information.

If you'd like to give the mother-to-be something beyond the baby shower (which is a present in and of itself) consider inexpensive options like coupons for baby sitting, a gift basket of baby goodies from the dollar store, or the promise of a meal after the baby arrives.

Food for a baby shower can be very simple. If you have an early afternoon party that falls after lunch but before dinner, you can serve cake, punch, mints, nuts, and perhaps a fruit tray very inexpensively.

When thinking of a location for your baby shower, think about how many people you can comfortably accommodate in that space. If you have a large amount of people, reserving a community center, church or banquet hall might be the best solution for you. If budget is an issue, think about hosting it at home or outside if the weather cooperates.

Get creative with your theme. You can use colors as your theme, stuffed animals like a teddy bear, a specific theme like Noah’s ark for twins, a princess theme for a little girl or cars for a little boy.
Many of the games and activities for a baby shower like bingo, crossword puzzles and word scrambles, are available online at no cost to you.

  Bachelor Party

Tradition has dictated that the bachelor party be given the night before the wedding, it's not a smart idea, especially if alcohol is involved. A lot of time, money and effort have gone into making the wedding day as perfect as possible, and having a tired/hung over groom will ruin the entire day. Be smart and have the festivities a week or two before the wedding.

Put together a scavenger hunt with a list of ridiculous items to round up. Search for things like: women’s lingerie, street signs, a toupee or a specified number of phone numbers from hot girls (bring a digital camera for evidentiary purposes). Divide yourselves into teams and allow yourselves a specific amount of time. Designate a driver, hire a limo or rent a party bus for the night. Event Static can help provide you with discounted pricing of your transportation needs. Contact us for more information.

As best man, join forces with the maid of honor to combine the bachelor and bachelorette parties into a stag and doe party. It can be catered, or to cut costs, formatted as a potluck. This is especially helpful to raise money for couples that are feeling the wedding pinch. Sell tickets, or include games to help raise money. Make it a cash bar and ask family and friends to help as wait and bar staff.

While at many the general rule may be "the more the merrier," at a bachelor party, the last thing you want is give out an open invitation to everyone. There isn't a set number of people that you should invite, but whether you decide on an intimate 5 person gathering or a 30 person bash, you'll want to ensure that all of the guests are trusted friends and relatives.

Las Vegas is a go to destination for people from all walks of life. No matter what types of guys are with you, sin city has something to offer each of them, from shows to dinners, to clubs and gambling. Event Static can put together a package for you that includes hotel, shows, clubs and more all tailored to your needs and budget. Please contact us for more information.

Do plan ahead. Nothing can make a bachelor party suck more than hasty or inadequate planning. Allow plenty of time for planning to make sure the event is perfect for the groom.

If your group always hangs out at the same bar or goes to the same restaurant or club, don’t go back to that place for the bachelor party. Take the groom somewhere different (hopefully somewhere nicer too.) Whether he’ll admit it or not, this is a big deal for him, so do something special. Go all out, that way there are no regrets when he looks back on this night 10 years from now.

Pimp Daddies, Retro 80's or Togas are all creative theme ideas for any bachelor party. Get costumes and props at your local discount party store and let the fun begin.

Whatever you do, don’t let the groom pay. No matter how generous he is, the groom shouldn’t have to pay for anything during his bachelor party. It’s his last night out as a single man, so take care of him.

Whether you are staying local, traveling to Las Vegas or some other tourist hot spot, doing a combined Bachelor/Bachelorette Party is a great and cost effective idea. Splitting bottle service at a club will help you save some money and ensure you getting in faster with your female counterparts. Event Static provides exceptional VIP Packages to suit your group’s needs. Please contact us for further assistance.

Many men would rather not have the typical 'beer and stripper' type bachelor party. Try going to a sports event, playing golf, going fishing, visiting a classic car show, touring a brewery, or playing paintball.

He’s still engaged, after all, so don’t let him get too out of control with whatever you decide to do. It’s the best man’s job to make sure the groom behaves, which is actually the second most important thing he has to do – other than plan the bachelor party.

Don’t look at this party as the last time to shove as much alcohol down the Groom as possible. Unfortunately, health and safety incidents can happen that may ruin the wedding and your friendship.

If you and your guys know how to surf and live near the ocean, just grab your wet-suits, take a road trip to a prime beach, and jump on in. If you're surf-impaired, arrange some group lessons to learn how to surf.

  Bachelorette Party

Making matching shirts is a popular way to let everyone know you are celebrating your friend’s last night on the town as a single girl. You can make them yourselves or have them made, either way once the party is over, you have a reminder of what a fantastic time you all had.

Be active. If the gals in your group are athletic, you've got some fun choices. A round of golf, a long bike ride, or yoga classes are all exciting possibilities.

Going wine tasting with your bridal party can be an enjoyable experience. Rent a limo or party bus and go to several wineries. Make arrangements for brunch, and make a full afternoon out of it. Event Static provides wine tasting deals at great pricing. Please contact us if you would like more information.

Get dressed up in costumes and go out dancing. Whether it's country western or disco fever, this will be sure to keep the party lively all night long.

You can save tons of money by drinking alcohol at home. Sure, not drinking at all is the least expensive option of all but let's be realistic. Learn to make some shots and fun drinks yourselves. It is much easier than actually cooking something and it will save you a bunch when compared to buying drinks at a club, bar or restaurant.

Take a shirt or pair of pants and cover them with candy. Offer random guys a chance to remove a piece off for $1 however they want. Give all the profit to the bride or use it to pay for her drinks. (Another option is to have the bride wear a white T-shirt and ask various men to decorate it.)

Plan a bachelorette spa party and pamper yourselves in style. Getting massages, facials, mud baths, manicures and pedicures are relaxing ways to unwind before the wedding. This can also save you time since most bridal parties set up nail appointments anyway. If you don’t want to leave the house, hire a mobile spa to come to you.

No matter what types of girls are with you, sin city has something to offer each of them, from shows to dinners, to clubs and gambling. Event Static can put together an amazing bachelorette package for you that includes hotel, shows, clubs and more all tailored to your specific needs and budget. Please contact us for more information.

If your group of gals always hangs out at the same bar or goes to the same restaurant or club, don’t go back to that place for the bachelorette party. Take the bride somewhere different (hopefully somewhere nicer too.) This is a big deal for her, so do something special. Go all out, that way there are no regrets when she looks back on this night 10 years from now.

Tradition has dictated that the bachelorette party be given the night before the wedding, it's not a smart idea, especially if alcohol is involved. Money and effort have gone into making the wedding day as perfect as possible, and having a tired/hung-over bride will ruin the entire day. Be smart and have the festivities a week or two before the wedding.

Put together a scavenger hunt with a list of ridiculous items to round up. Search for things like: men’s boxers, a roll of toilet paper from the men's bathroom, or a specified number of phone numbers from hot guys (bring a digital camera for evidentiary purposes). Divide yourselves into teams and allow yourselves a specific amount of time. Designate a driver, hire a limo or rent a party bus for the night. Event Static can help provide you with discounted pricing of your transportation needs. Contact us for more information.

A great bachelorette party doesn't necessarily have to involve a wild night of drinking. Spending time with the bride and having a good time together is what's really important. You can enjoy lots of activities with or without a cocktail in hand.

As matron of honor, join forces with the best man to combine the bachelor and bachelorette parties into a stag and doe party. It can be catered, or to cut costs, formatted as a potluck. This is especially helpful to raise money for couples that are feeling the wedding pinch. Sell tickets, or include games to help raise money. Make it a cash bar and ask family and friends to help as wait and bar staff.

Whatever you do, don’t let the bride to be pay. No matter how generous she is, the bride shouldn’t have to pay for anything during her bachelorette party. It’s her last night out as a single lady, so take care of her.

Take a pole dancing or striptease class at a local fitness center. It’s an intense calorie burner that will show you some new moves and make you feel super sexy.

A really cute idea for a bachelorette party game is to have a homemade lingerie contest. Guests can take turns placing their lingerie creation over the bride’s clothing, and then she can pick the winner. Some examples of items that might be used include tissues, tape, wrapping paper and plastic cups.

Whether you are staying local, traveling to Las Vegas or some other tourist hot spot, doing a combined Bachelor/Bachelorette Party is a great and cost effective idea. Splitting bottle service at a club will help you save some money and maybe some of the guys will buy you ladies drinks. Event Static provides exceptional VIP Packages to suit your group’s needs. Please contact us for further assistance.

She’s still engaged, after all, so don’t let her get too out of control with whatever you decide to do. It’s the maid of honor’s job to make sure the bride to be behaves, which is actually the second most important thing she has to do – other than plan the bachelorette party.

Book a hotel room and have a slumber party. Order room service, takeout or bring lots of yummy snacks. You can stay up late talking, watching movies or playing games like you did when you were little.

Don’t look at this party as the last time to shove as much alcohol down the Bride as possible. Unfortunately, health and safety incidents can happen that may ruin the wedding and your friendship.

Use a friends’ boat/yacht or charter one for a few hours for the bride. Spend the day out at sea sipping cocktails and tanning all day long without a care in the world.

While at many the general rule may be "the more the merrier," at a bachelorette party, the last thing you want is give out an open invitation to everyone. There isn't a set number of people that you should invite, but whether you decide on an intimate 5 person gathering or a 30 person bash, you'll want to ensure that all of the guests are trusted friends and relatives.

Have a belly dancing contest and play drinking games. Try to “shake it, not break it” by bending backwards, placing a drink on your chest and shimmying without spilling. The first person to spill has a drink/shot.

While some women really get into the stripper option, in other cases it just fails miserably. Gauge the crowd: few things are more pathetic than a man gyrating in a pink g-string with a room full of women who would rather be watching Martha Stewart. If you go this route, be sure to give the bride some single dollar bills to stuff into the appropriate places.

If you are still in doubt, go with a classic. Getting drunk and embarrassing the bride to be in public remains the most popular bachelorette party option.

Think about the time of year when planning your bachelorette party. If it’s happening during summer months try going to the beach or a pool party. Go ice-skating during the winter months.

  Birthday

Make a movie night gift basket. Included a DVD or gift certificate for a movie rental, box of candy, soda and bag of microwave popcorn.

Spa parties are a lot of fun for girls of all ages. Take them out for a pampering day at the spa. If you can't afford going to there, hold the party at home complete with plushy white robes, slippers and candles.

An original and one of a kind birthday present is designing and creating your own sneakers. Check online for Converse, Nike and other retailers who have this option available.

Heading to Las Vegas is a typical rite of passage when someone turns 21. Event Static offers affordable packages that include transportation, hotel accommodations, pools, clubs and more. Check out our Free Vegas Trip section for a complimentary weekend on your Birthday.

Get personalized M&M's made using the birthday person's favorite colors, their birth date or their picture for a yummy surprise.

While most people only use piñatas for kids, they can really be fun to use during adult birthday parties too. Add gift cards, candy, money or small items from your local discount store.

A simple birthday gift is getting a picture frame and including one of your favorite photos in it. You can decorate one yourself or have it personalized, for an extra special touch.

For boys, anything sports-related is usually a good idea. Try a trip to a local sports center, or a day spent hanging out with the local sports team if your budget allows.

Wine of the Month Club is a great birthday present for any vino lover, and you can usually get a 3-6 month subscription to save money.

Take a limousine or party bus to one of your local trendy clubs or bars. Have the group pitch in for bottle service to make it a night to remember for their birthday. Event Static can create custom packages that include transportation, club entry, birthday flyer and more. Contact us for further details.

Search an antique shop, flea market, or discount store for a unique or vintage candy dish. Fill it up with the birthday person's favorite candy, and you have a lovely and inexpensive gift.

Gift certificates to their favorite store can be nice as well, and can be for many different denominations, depending on your budget.

If you are good at cleaning, clean house for someone who’s working extra shifts, who has a newborn baby or who is just too plain busy to do it themselves. It's a thoughtful gift that won't cost you anything but some elbow grease.

Throw your birthday girl a princess themed party complete with tiaras, gowns and a singing princess. Event Static can provide singers, dancers and more to enhance any birthday event. Please contact us for more details.

The birthday person likely has some kind of tech gear, whether it be a smart phone, iPod or even iPad. Create a customized case for about $25.00 online for a unique present.

Play the purse game by calling out random letters and guests finding an object that starts with that letter. Say the letter is "C", for example, the ladies would search for candy, credit cards, condoms or whatever random C's they have hiding in their purses.

The candy buffet is a great trend for birthdays. It’s wonderful for everyone since you can offer a wide variety of candies to choose from. Provide boxes or bags so they can scoop up their favorite candy and take it home as a party favor. Please contact us for candy buffet options.

Make a “quote a day” jar with sayings you find amusing, inspirational or sentimental. Print them out on fun colored paper, cut apart, fold up, then place them in a nice jar or container.

Keep the birthday girl/guy's interest in mind when thinking of presents for them. If they like music or running get them a hoodie with headphones built in.

For girls, any activities that have something to do with makeup, glamour photos or other girly themes, are sure to be a hit.

Just because your child is over 12 doesn't mean he or she is too old to have a little fun. Teen birthday party themes can be silly because most teens enjoy having an excuse to act less grown up than usual.

Whether it's an elaborate royal kingdom theme, or something easier, like your child's favorite color, selecting a theme will help you organize your thoughts. You'll then plan all of your party supply purchases, party games and decorations around that theme.

  Corporate/Small Business

Always know the budget. Be realistic as to what your company can afford in terms of food and beverage costs. If this is the smallest area of the allotted budget, you may have to save the gourmet buffet for another day and go for the snack table instead. There are always ways to make a food table look fancier by adding decorative arrangements and multi-level serving platters.

The choice of location is also important. For a company that puts a premium on ideas, an open and natural setting is preferred to trigger off creative ideas. Horseback riding, trekking, mountain climbing, parachute jumping, canoeing and river rafting are some outdoor events, which aim at improving team spirit among corporate clients.

Nothing looks worse than empty tables in front of your stage at a banquet or meeting. To ensure the tables in front are full, put reserved signs on the back rows of tables. This will force people to sit at the tables closer to the stage. Once those front tables are filled, simply pull the reserved signs off and fill the tables in the back of the room too.

Don't limit your thinking to grand openings. Restaurants can hold seasonal tastings, electronics stores can host seminars about innovative products, and apartment complexes can attract new renters with art showings, catering or live entertainment. Please contact us for more details on hosting an exciting event for your corporation or small business.

Although outdoor events can be tempting to plan, especially during the spring and summer months, it is always important to consider the possible downfalls of being unable to control Mother Nature. The possibility of even the tiniest amount of rain falling should always be in the back of your mind. Having a portable rain canopy available is always a good idea.

Parking your car at a formal event should not be a stressful endeavor. In order to avoid possible parking dilemmas, make sure the facility you are renting has adequate parking available. Try negotiating a flat rate for your guests and make them aware of the price for parking before the event. If at all possible, consider having valet parking for those that desire it, or host the parking for all attendees.

Team building, leadership quality, and different management skills are what most corporations are concerned about. Driven by a motive to maximize the output from the employees, corporate events are planned to hone these skills of their employees. Indoor and outdoor corporate events are designed in a way that is entertaining as well as rewarding for learning experiences.

Music has always been the life of any event. Corporate events are no exception. A manager who is known for his tough exterior can lead his executives to have a glimpse of his humane side by the choice of songs to be played by the DJ in a corporate party. Live music entertainment is also the central theme of many corporate events. Music can really loosen up people to relate better with each other.

Pictures are a great way to show that your event was a success, especially when you share them correctly. Upload pictures to a company blog and post them on your social media networks. Include them in your next company newsletter or e-blast. This will also help drive traffic to your company’s site. We can assist you with blog, website and e-blast creation and design. Please contact us for more information.

Themes are a great way to increase employee participation and create lasting memories within the company. To optimize the experience, make sure to not only incorporate them into the advertising, but into the food, drinks, music, and setting as well. Take-home thematic gifts or door prizes are also a great idea if the budget permits.

Another point to consider, if your event is to be held outdoors, is the instability of the ground (including possible holes, unevenness of ground level, and softness of soil), which can be a poor choice for more formal occasions where women may be wearing high heeled shoes.

One of the most common mistakes made when organizing events, is leaving insufficient time for planning. The time required for planning a company event is very much dependent on the type and size of the event. However, in an ideal world, the planning process should start approximately 6-8 months before the date of the event.

One of the major benefits to including team-building activities as part of your conference program is their effect on staff morale. Surveys suggest that at any one time, over half of the staff of a typical workforce is unhappy and actively seeking new positions.

  Dating

Every relationship needs a little recharge every now and then. Even when you're settled and comfortable, don't forget to plan a night out or a weekend getaway to bring some excitement back into your relationship. Something as simple as holding hands or a welcome kiss after a long day goes a long way.

For a creative and delicious date, try baking cupcakes together. After they cool, decorate them with icing and sprinkles.

Sending a girl drink at a bar can be a great way to strike up a conversation. Don’t sit there and stare at her or immediately go up to her table. Wait for the waiter to bring her drink and when she looks over at you give her a nod and a smile. Wait a few minutes to see if she approaches you.

If you're getting tired of dinner and a movie, it's time to think of a more unique date idea. Try having a wine and cheese picnic followed by a visit to some local art galleries. Whether you prefer something casual or romantic, Event Static can help you plan a unique date. Please contact us for further details.

Miniature golf is always a fun date. But you can make it even more fun by adding a few variations. Try to play a round with blindfolds on, by tying your legs together, or opposite handed the entire time.

Do not try to be someone you are not on a date. Your date wants to see and know the real you, and not some wannabe you are trying to come across as.

Bringing a single flower for your first date is a sweet and casual way of saying "nice to meet you". When buying the flower, ask the florist to put the plastic clear water tip on the cut stem. This will insure the flower will maintain freshness until she gets it home.

The plan should be simple and definite for a first date. You don't want to have an elaborate first date, especially if you don't know the other person very well. Planning an afternoon at the carnival, for example, could be disastrous if your date fears rollercoasters, clowns, etc.

Renting a limousine, getting show tickets, or VIP entry to clubs can be great enhancements for a date. Please contact us for more information on how we can take your date to the next level.

Get a large raft or floaties and put them in a pool. Project “Jaws” or other scary movies that involve water on the side of the house. Have you and your date, or group of friends, get on the pool toys and watch.

Remember, the whole point of a first date is to get to know someone and to figure out if you'd like a second. Pick a location where the two of you can talk, but not one that is so secluded that it makes the date seem too intense. Keep the activities simple, you don't want to distract from actually getting to know the person.

Have a green eggs and ham date. Prepare a ham covered with green dyed baste on it and green colored eggs and each person or couple bring a favorite Dr. Seuss book with of course "Green Eggs and Ham" being read.

Make a list of random things on a bingo card, such as mullets, spandex shorts, hiking boots, etc. Walk around a local department store trying to find people sporting the items on your list. The Winner gets treated to coffee or dinner date.

Since Las Vegas has a desert climate, be sure to drink lots of water to prevent dehydration and nose bleeds. Stop at Walgreens or CVS along the strip to buy your water, their prices are a lot cheaper than the hotels.

  Non-Profit/Charity

Nothing looks worse than empty tables in front of your stage at a fundraiser or auction. To ensure the tables in front are full, put reserved signs on the back rows of tables. This will force people to sit at the tables closer to the stage. Once those front tables are filled, simply pull the reserved signs off and fill the tables in the back of the room too.

Hold a rent-a-puppy fundraiser. Contact the humane society to borrow some puppies and rent them out for $5 per 30 minutes. This works great at a college campus where students aren’t allowed to have pets.

One of the most common mistakes made when organizing events, is leaving insufficient time for planning. The time required for planning a company event is very much dependent on the type and size of the event. However, in an ideal world, the planning process should start approximately 6-8 months before the date of the event.

Asking for pledges/donations is also a great fundraising source. List potential donors and approach them for support. These can be colleagues, co-workers, friends, family, businesses or door to door solicitation.

  Promotional Events

You need at least two weeks to advertise. Use different color flyers with different ads for the same event. Use original artwork and be creative. Be brief, too much information is bad information in modern advertising.

Promotional models are a great asset for company events. They can help pass out product samples, speak to potential new customers about your company and more. Click here to book the Static Girls for your next event.

Everyone loves free stuff. But remember: promotional material is only successful if the customer will actually use it. Pass out things that are useful and will be used by the consumer for a long time, such as, lighters, pens, hats and calendars.

Don't limit your thinking to grand openings. Restaurants can hold seasonal tastings, electronics stores can host seminars about innovative products, and apartment complexes can attract new renters with art showings, catering or live entertainment. Please contact us for more information regarding your promotional event.

Keep in mind your purpose and audience, and choose a setting that suits it. For instance, if you're releasing your band's first CD, you might throw the launch party at a local record store. If you're launching a high-end product, on the other hand, your location needs to reflect that.

Tell people about the show in person. Americans are increasingly shut in and need convincing to come out. Tell your friends, have them tell their friends. Don’t be annoying. You can tell quickly if someone wants to learn more. If they don’t, thank them and leave.

Having a website and various social media outlets are essential in branding any company/product. These are vital in reaching out to current and future clients. Contact us for custom websites, flyers, promo material and more.

Energize your event by offering interactive games through which visitors can compete for prizes. These can be as simple as rolling dice or spinning a wheel to win promotional items.

Pictures are a great way to show that your event was a success, especially when you share them correctly. Upload pictures to a business blog and post them on your social media networks. Include them in your next company newsletter or e-blast. This will also help drive traffic to your website.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a franchise or a small business, a successful grand opening can increase the bottom line the first year.   Special Events

Floating Candles look absolutely lovely, and you can even color the water with a little food coloring to match your theme colors. Place a glass bowl, or several different sized wineglasses filled with water on a mirror. Add small candles, and enjoy the romantic effect they produce.

Delegate an area for friends, family or co-workers to decorate cookies. For Halloween use spider and ghosts cookie cutters, along with purple and orange frostings. Use red and green sprinkles for Christmas and light pastels for Easter.

Never underestimate the power of decorating with balloons as they can transform any size room into a cozy space at a very low cost and can match the colors of your event.

Make a custom candle lighting board for your Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Get large styrofoam sheets at your local craft store and spray paint them in your favorite color. Buy tall dripless tapers for the candles in the back, and press them into the styrofoam. Embellish them with ribbons, tissue, etc.

  Tipping

Bartender: Tip the bartender between 10% - 15% depending on the complication of your drink order. If you just order a beer in a bottle, there's not too much effort involved in providing the service, but if you order a mixed drink that takes time and includes a lot of ingredients, then offer up a more sizable tip, somewhere closer to the 15% range.

Bellmen: They should usually receive $1 per bag. If you have extra large or heavy bags then a little extra is always good.

Change Person: Don't forget to slip a few bucks to these helpful folks -- especially if you win. Don't try to palm off a $5 tip for a Megabucks win; it's insulting.

Cigarette Girls: About $1 - $2 is sufficient, depending on how much you buy and how many times you want her to return.

Coatroom Attendant: $1 per coat is appropriate when picking up and dropping of your coat.

Cocktail Waitresses:
About $1 - $2 per round is sufficient for a small group (two to three people). Increase it for larger groups. Don't fail to tip, even if your drinks are complimentary.

Concierge: Anywhere from $2 - $20 if they help you arrange show tickets, tours, hair appointments etc.

Dealers:
You can give the dealer a tip in between hands/spins, and this tip can range from $1+. You also can wait until the end of your session and tip the dealer then.

Doorman: Typically, a $1 tip for hailing a taxi is appropriate for doormen.

Food Servers: Unless your bill indicates that a gratuity has been included (this usually applies to groups of six or more), tip your food server 15% – 20% depending on the quality of their service. $1 - $2 at the buffet is appreciated as well.

Front Desk Clerks: If you're looking for a room upgrade, tipping the front desk clerk $5 - $20 can help get you a better room, however this is not a guarantee.

Hair Salon: The standard amount for salon gratuity is 15% to 20% depending on the extent of the services, the skill of the stylist and whether or not you intend to frequent the establishment/stylist again. (Don't overlook the people who shampoo your hair and those who get you coffee and magazines etc. They should get at least a $1 for their services.)

Maids: $1 - $2 a day is recommended for the maid service in your hotel room. If you requested something delivered to your room such as a hairdryer or iron, tip $1 per item received.

Nail Salon: Tipping 10%-15% is usually the standard for a basic manicure or pedicure. If you get extras like acrylic, gel overlay, flowers, crystals etc, then tip a little extra.

Pool Attendants: $1 - $2 is appreciated for the person passing out towels at the pool.

Room Service: The standard 15% - 20% of the bill, unless the bill indicates a tip has already been added.

Security: Always tip security $2 - $5 for keeping you safe at the club. It always helps to know who they are in case you do end up needing them at some point during the night. They can also help get you access to Special VIP areas of hotels and clubs if you tip more.

Spa Services: 15% - 20% of the total services. If service was exceptional, or you plan on coming back, then feel free to tip closer to the 20% mark.

Transportation: Whether you hail a cab or take a limousine, it is best to offer a gratuity between 10% - 15% of the fare. If they get you where you are going fast, help with your luggage and make good conversation, tip a little extra. If you take a shuttle van or bus, tip the driver $2 per person.

Valet Parking Attendants: $1 - $2 is suggested for valet parking attendants when you drop off and pick up your vehicle. If you ask them to leave your car up front, be sure to tip $10 - $30, depending on how busy it is.

VIP Host: Depending on the size of your party, tipping your host $1 - $5 a person is a good rule of thumb if they get you into the club for free. If they give you discounted bottles or let you cut the line on a busy night a $20 - $40 tip is appropriate.

Washroom Attendant: The person handing you paper towels and soap usually get tipped $1. If you use the items they provide such as perfume/cologne, lotion, mints, hair spray etc tip a little extra.

  Transportation

Be sure to have the appropriate music for the type of event, so guests of all ages can relate. If you are going to Las Vegas in a Party Bus, popular/top 40 songs are great.  While wine tasting or a romantic date in a limousine, might require easy listening/smooth jazz.

Always pack the essentials and bring only what you absolutely need. There is limited room on limousines/buses and some flights charge to check bags.

How you get to your destination is half the fun right? Let us transport you in a limousine, bus or plane in style at an affordable price. Contact us for more information on how we can enhance your next event.

Don’t overload your bus/limo. There’s nothing worse than being so crammed with people that you can’t control your party. Remember, you’re paying for this evening and you want it to be fun. When too many people get involved, or people who don’t normally hang with you, things can get out of hand.

Late spring and early summer tend to be a busy time to find transportation to hire. This tends to be a popular time of year for weddings, graduation parties and prom nights. Be sure to plan as far in advance as possible to avoid any charges for last minute bookings.

It is always a good rule of thumb to serve your guests the first drink. After that, let them help themselves while on the road.

Whatever means of transportation you decide on (whether a limousine, party/charter bus, car or plane) if your guests are having a good time, you will be having a good time.

Vacation bundle packages, that include your transportation and hotel, are the best option for discounted pricing. Event Static can create custom transportation packages for you that include hotel, pools, clubs, shows and more, all at an affordable price. Please contact us for further details.

Know everyone who gets on your bus/limo. This is your party and you don’t want strangers to ruin the night. Make sure everyone who gets on the bus is invited.

Have a plan for the evening. Make a list of stops complete with address and map them out. Most divers know where to go, but it’s a good idea to be prepared and know where you’re going for the evening.

Don’t freak out if someone spills their drink while on the road. Do a quick wipe up and get back to having a good time.

Glass stemware can be dangerous if something gets broken. Be sure to use plastic cups on a bus or limo ride.

  Vacation

Before leaving on your vacation, decide how much money you'll spend on extras such as shopping, shows, attractions and more. Try to stick to it and not go over it.

Eat meals where kids can eat for free and split meals. This can mean an enormous saving for a family of four or larger. Children are many times too excited or tired to eat much at a time.

Before you leave, make a list of sightseeing priorities. Use the internet to find free/inexpensive attractions. Most cities have free museums, tours and attractions. You can spend a fortune on guided tours or an full price admission of you decide to go the day of.

Vacation bundle packages, that include your transportation and hotel, are the best option for discounted pricing. Event Static can create custom vacation packages for you that include hotel, pools, clubs, shows and more, all at a price that fits your budget. Contact us for more details.

When packing, be sure to place the heaviest items at the bottom and fragile items towards the center. Fold similar clothes together to minimize creasing and pack efficiently.

Don’t forget to pack games, toys, magazines, iPods, and other items that keep everyone busy. These things are very easy to forget, but drives, flights, and delays can be quite long and these items can be helpful.

Keep your Valuables well covered while checking out the attractions, gambling, shopping, eating or lounging at the pool. Any place there are large crowds of people, makes it easy for someone to pick pocket you.

How you get to your destination is half the fun right? Let us transport you in a limousine, bus or plane in style at an affordable price. Contact us for more information on how we can enhance your next vacation.

Digging through luggage every morning can make you feel cluttered and disorganized. Living out of a suitcase isn’t fun, so always be sure to fully unpack.

Make sure you get enough sleep. Often times people are extremely tired after a vacation. Maybe it’s because they stayed up late and woke up early in a frantic attempt to get it all in.

Whether you are going someplace tropical or snowing, choose clothes appropriate for the climate you are visiting.

  Wedding

Pearl bridal jewelry is fairly standard for most traditional weddings, but don't be afraid to break tradition. It's your day, and you should wear what suits you the most. Try to match your bridal jewelry to your personality and your dress.

Weigh the cuteness factor versus the unpredictability factor when thinking about using children in the ceremony under the age of five. They have notoriously small attention spans during long periods of time.

Get the bridesmaids' dresses at a regular department store such as Forever 21 or H&M, as opposed to a specialty shop. You can usually find the dress, shoes and accessories all for under $100.00.

Always get specific contracts with your vendors - Bands, DJ, Florists, Caterers, Bakery - have everything in writing. Be sure to ask for additional costs that could be charged to you, such as traveling, over time or sales tax. Insist that all of the details are in the contract, that way there are no discrepancies later on.

Send out custom made Save the Dates. Event Static can help design and create affordable custom STDs that you can have printed (or print yourself) and made into postcards, refrigerator magnets and other inventive mailers. For more information, please contact us.

Don't plan to leave on your honeymoon immediately. This invites disappointment and ill feelings since both of you will be extremely exhausted right after the wedding. Wait a few days, open gifts, sleep in late, slow down and rest before you pack and take off on your honeymoon.

Most banquet halls or hotel ballrooms are ridiculously expensive. Before you drop down a hefty deposit, think about places you could say your vows that won’t put you in debt. Backyards, parks, restaurants, your best friend’s parents’ enormous house, even a community recreation room can all be wonderfully intimate spots for a wedding.

Ask everyone to bring a dish in lieu of a gift. You’ll have a great variety of food, save money and you won’t be stuck returning a bunch of toasters you don’t need.

Skip the bridal boutiques and look for your wedding dress in department stores, bargain shops, vintage shops and online sites like eBay and Etsy, for one of a kind steals.

Make your own wedding programs. The availability of supplies at scrap booking stores, specialty paper shops and mass retailers, makes it easy to find the materials you need for a homemade look. If you are good with computers, try typing them up yourself and adding photos, creative fonts and your wedding colors. Event Static is able to provide you with wedding programs tailored to fit your needs. Contact us for more information.

A candy buffet is a great option for weddings. It’s wonderful for all of your guests since you can offer a wide variety of candies to choose from. Provide boxes/bags so they can scoop up their favorite candy and take it home as a party favor. Please contact us for yummy candy buffet selections.

Scour thrift shops, garage sales, and online for interesting vases, mugs, or knickknacks to use as fun focal points or centerpieces, instead of huge and costly floral arrangements.

Don't worry about renting a DJ. Instead just have a few mixed CDs or iPod with your favorite songs that can be shuffled throughout the night. (Consider letting guests play DJ and play songs they like off of your iPod or CDs.)

Get the Groom his Tux for free. Most tuxedo shops will give you the groom’s tuxedo rental free of charge when the rest of the groomsmen purchase theirs from the same shop.

If you plan on going all out for your honeymoon, create a website where guests can help you pay for it. List everything you need covered from necessities like airfare and hotel, to fun things like massages, scuba diving and fancy dinners. Ask your guests to donate money as your wedding present. At Event Static we can create your personalized honeymoon page at an affordable price. Please contact us for more information.

Skip the pricey rehearsal dinner and have a pizza party or barbeque instead. There’s enough formality in a wedding, and everyone will be happy to blow off some steam before the big day.

It may be painful, but the simple truth is that there is no quicker, easier way to control your budget than by limiting the size of the event. Your single biggest cost will be reception food and alcohol, so you can reduce that expenditure by paring down the number of mouths. (Remember: single guests who aren’t in a serious relationship can be invited solo; you may invite parents only; and you need not invite anyone who you haven’t spent time with in the last five years -- even if they invited you to their wedding.)

Understand that this wedding is also the joining of two entire families. If you are different in religion, background or culture, celebrate each side's uniqueness and emphasize the things that are in common.

Beautiful wedding favors, place cards and holders decorating the guests’ tables are a great addition to any wedding. Try making them yourself to cut costs and add a personal touch. Event Static can help you design the perfect place cards for your guests. For more information, please contact us.

If you'd rather not have one person be solely responsible for the photographs, hand out some disposable cameras to your guests and have them take candid photos of you and your groom/bride. It will be interesting to see these photos from the guest's perspective.

Let's say that all you can afford for bridesmaids gifts are hairclips. Not a package of hairclips for each bridesmaid, but a single hairclip. You may have to get a little crafty here, but by attaching that hair clip to a fine piece of stationary (scented, parchment, and in the same color scheme as your wedding), together with a hand-written poem, romantic quote, or even just the date of your wedding with your names and a hand-written “Thank you” on it, suddenly turns these cheap bridesmaid gifts into something really special and unique.

Skip the expensive florist and grab some flowers at a local flower shop or grocery store and make your own bouquet.

Remember that Save the Dates are not invitations, but merely a note to let people know when your wedding is coming up, so they can try to avoid planning vacations or other special events on the same day as you. This also allows out of town guests a chance to start booking airfare, hotels, transportation etc. (STD's are usually sent out 4-8 Months before the wedding, whereas the actual invitations don’t go out until 4-8 Weeks prior to the wedding.)
